Team Singapore was missing from the entry list for this weekend's fifth A1 Grand Prix round, leaving 21 countries to contest the double-header at Sentul in Indonesia.

Singapore?EUR(TM)s main driver, Christian Murchison aggravated an existing back injury during a training session last week and has been advised not to race this weekend by his doctor. With Team Singapore unable to find a reserve at short notice, the distinctive red-and-gold car will not be running this weekend.

Elsewhere, the confirmed entry list contains few surprises, and is headed by current points leader Germany, which will continue with Nico Hulkenberg, and Canada, which took a shock win at Sentul last year. The Canadian squad returns with 2005 victor Sean McIntosh getting the nod to race over James Hinchcliffe. Germany has included Marco Holzer, 2005 FBMW world champion and recent F1 test driver, to its list.

Contrary to expectation, China has only lodged an entry for new Recaro Cup F3 champion Ho-Pin Tung. The Dutch-Chinese driver had been expected to contest the 'rookie' sessions on Friday before deferring to FRenault frontrunner, and now A1 regular, Franky Cheng, but the latter is missing from the list of confirmed drivers.

Finally, Alan van der Merwe returns to the South African fold, partnering the less experienced Gavin Cronje, and Jaroslav Janis takes over from Tomas Enge for the Czech Republic. The 'home' team is represented by Ananda Mikola and Moreno Soeprapto.
