After double victories down under in New Zealand and Australia, A1 Team Germany will look to extend its winning run when the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport arrives in Durban this coming weekend for the latest round of the season.

Nico Hulkenberg will once again be at the wheel of the German entry for the return to South Africa as the team looks to extend its current 25 point lead in the championship standings, with seat holder Willi Weber confident that his young star will get the job done on the challenging street circuit.

"We have excellent analysis data of the circuit from last year," he said. "You need strong nerves to go to the limit on a street circuit without large run-off areas. Nico has them.

"In the cockpit he is totally concentrated. The team is in the thick of a title battle and is highly motivated. After our victories everybody is expecting us to win again, which is a similar situation to the one Michael Schumacher was often in. The pressure to perform drives everybody even more to deliver the goods."

Hulkenberg will miss the next round of the season in Mexico due clashing commitments in Formula Three, which will see Christian Vietoris come in for his race debut. With that in mind, teenage star Hulkenberg said he was looking for a successful weekend of competition as he aims to add to his current win tally of six.

"I'm especially looking forward to Durban, because I love street circuits," he said. "I watched last year's race, which was sold-out, on video. I discuss the first ideas about car set-up on the flight together with my engineer Rob Creswell from our race team David Sears Motorsport. I can trust this team implicitly. Even though I made a bad start in Australia the team helped me take the win thanks to an excellent pit stop."
