Team Brazil has confirmed that Bruno Junqueira will continue racing for the team at this month's Mexico City A1 Grand Prix round, following his eventful debut in Durban two weeks ago.

Although the Champ Car star picked up the points in the South African feature race, he also suffered a troubled weekend, with mechanical problems, a switch to the spare car and contact in the earlier sprint race hampering his progress. Naturally, the 30-year old is hoping for better fortunes on more familiar ground, having finished in the points at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on both previous Champ Car appearances there.

"I am happy to be continuing with Team Brazil and I'm happy to be going to a track I know," Junqueira said, "I've done well in the past at Mexico City and it's a circuit I enjoy. I liked A1GP when I joined the series for the first time at the last race in South Africa and we had a reasonable pace there, but I hope we can improve further for Mexico. I think it's possible to get a podium finish - I know we can be competitive there."
