Nico Hulkenberg will hope to complete a dream season in A1GP for Team Germany in Shanghai this weekend as the team aims to secure the championship title with one race meeting still to run.

The team heads into the weekend with a lead of 27 points over New Zealand and will clinch the title if that lead is at least 17 points once the penultimate race weekend of the season draws to a close.

Having made his race debut in Mexico, Christian Vietoris will return to his rookie duties for the weekend to allow Hulkenberg to come back into the team - the teenager having been forced to miss the last round of the season due to commitments elsewhere.

"I have a good feeling and I am highly motivated," he said. "I've covered several thousand kilometres in a Formula 3 car in the meantime and have perfected left-foot braking in the process. I also now use this braking technique in the A1 GP car. I'm really interested to see the circuit in Shanghai as I'm not familiar with it at all."

Team manager Willi Weber said he didn't think that there is extra pressure on the team this weekend with the title up for grabs, and wished his team all the best for the penultimate meeting of the season.

"A1 Team Germany has the chance to win the title in China with a race to spare," he said. "There is however no real pressure: The points lead is so big that Christian and Nico can approach their work in a more relaxed frame of mind. I'm intrigued to see the result on this potentially decisive weekend and wish the team all the best."
