With Darren Manning having raced for Team GB in Shanghai last season, and Oliver Jarvis having made his race debut in Beijing, Robbie Kerr will finally get the chance to compete in China this weekend as A1GP enters its penultimate race weekend of the season.

The team heads to the Hermann Tilke-designed F1 circuit buoyed by a stunning victory last time out in Mexico, although race winner Jarvis won't be part of the team this time around due to his commitments in the Japanese F3 championship.

As such, Kerr will be joined for the weekend by Oliver Turvey as the Formula BMW Champion gets a further taste of A1GP machinery in the Friday rookie sessions before handing the car back to Kerr for the race weekend.

Kerr will be hoping to repeat the form displayed by the team last season, when Manning took second place in the sprint race and also continue the impressive form the team has shown in China as a whole - with Jarvis also stepping on the podium in Beijing earlier in the year.

"I'm really looking forward to racing in Shanghai," Kerr admitted. "I wasn't able to race at the track last season as it clashed with my World Series by Renault campaign but I've only ever heard good things about it.

"The team ran well at the circuit last year, Darren planted the car on the front-row for the Sprint and finished on the podium. The team's confidence is naturally high following a great showing in Mexico and I think we're going to be in good shape in China to go for a repeat performance."
