Moreno Soeprapto could be set to make his A1 Grand Prix debut for Team Indonesia after regular driver Ananda Mikola was struck down with a virus ahead of qualifying at Brands Hatch.

Although a decision will be made tomorrow as to whether Mikola will start the two races, Soeprapto will definitely resume the helm for qualifying and is on standby to drive the car on Sunday too.

The younger brother of Mikola, Asian Formula 3 driver Soeprapto may not have raced yet but has nonetheless been a regular face in A1 GP having competed in most rookie sessions this season, most recently being classified 11th in practice at Brands Hatch yesterday.

If Soeprapto does indeed take the start of the race, it will mean the end to Mikola's record of starting each A1 GP race since its conception at the same circuit back in September 2005. Instead, Malaysia's Alex Yoong would be set to join him on top of the experience list, with 40 race starts each.
