A1 Team Great Britain will be on hand to represent the World Cup of Motorsport at next weekend's Festival of Speed in the grounds of Goodwood House.

Regular pilot Robbie Kerr will be reunited with the red, white and blue car he drove to a famous home victory at Brands Hatch in April, as he takes a crack at the hillclimb challenge. Germany's Nick Heidfeld holds the current course record at 41.6secs, having taken a McLaren-Mercedes MP4-13 F1 car up the run in 1999.

Kerr, who will be attending Goodwood on the back of his first ever start in the Le Mans 24 Hours this weekend, will be joined by Team Brazil principal Emerson Fittipaldi, who will head down memory lane by driving the Lotus 49B with which he made his grand prix debut.

"I'm looking forward to making my first appearance at Goodwood," Kerr said, "As far as events go, I think it's practically unrivalled in allowing the public to get up close and personal with some of the world's greatest racing machines. I also can't wait to tackle the hillclimb in the A1GP car. I haven't driven it since Brands Hatch a couple of months ago, so it'll be fun to let loose at Goodwood!"
