Adam Khan is being lined up to return to A1 Team Pakistan for the upcoming 2007/08 season after being recalled to test with the squad at Silverstone.

Khan, who has dual British and Pakistani nationality, raced for the nation during the inaugural season, impressing on several occasions by claiming points on his debut at Brands Hatch and securing a best of fifth place at the season-ending Shanghai round.

However, education commitments forced him to take a sabbatical from motorsport in 2006, leaving the team to settle for the services of Nur Ali who, although remarkably scoring a point in Durban, was regularly the slowest competitor at each weekend.

Nonetheless, Khan will be back in the cockpit at Silverstone as the team try and lure him back to race with them for the season starting at Zandvoort in September.

"With testing opportunities limited in A1GP, our technical team will be working hard over the two day test to ensure that the car is fully prepared for the challenging season ahead," said Team Manager Bobby Issazadhe. "Adam has previous experience of the car, having competed in A1GP, which will be a big help in the shakedown process."
