A1 Team Canada showed off its new colours during the first day of the last official A1GP pre-season test at Silverstone.

In its first livery change since A1GP began, Canada has now gone for a bolder look, with the country's famous maple leaf emblazoned across the top and sides of the car.

The paint-scheme was designed by renowned car artist Ian Hutchinson, who penned A1 Team Ireland's current car, and other famous liveries from motorsport history, including the infamous Jordan 191 Formula One car.

"The new paint-scheme looks great," said driver James Hinchcliffe. "It's an awesome livery. I'm just hoping to have the chance to race it."

The team will make a decision on the driver line-up for Zandvoort after this week's test.
