A1 Team Great Britain has completed its preparations for the new A1GP season after a solid display during testing at Silverstone.

Oliver Jarvis and Robbie Kerr shared driving duties during the course of the day and half of testing, with Jarvis fourth quickest on the opening day and Kerr then eighth on the half day of running that made up day two.

The test began with data collection work for engine supplier Zytek, bedding in brake discs and pads, plus general set-up work, with Jarvis managing to complete 85 laps on the opening day.

"We made good progress," he said. "It wasn't about setting quick lap times but focusing on shaking the car and engine down and getting the jobs done whilst doing as little mileage as possible to save the components for Zandvoort. We're going to Zandvoort in a good position and will hopefully improve our real pace at the first round."

Kerr saw his quickest runs hit by traffic while the team also used his time at the wheel to practice pit-stops ahead of the new season, with the Brands Hatch race winner happy with how his day had gone.

"We're happy with how the day went," he said. "There are a few minor issues that we resolved and questions that needed answering which we have now answered. We've been focusing on car set-up and know what we need to make the car go quickly. I'm now just looking forward to the racing starting again!"
