At the scene of his impressive A1GP debut last season, Jeroen Bleekemolen has his sights set on victory this weekend as the third season of the Nation versus Nation championship kicks off at Zandvoort.

For a while last year, it looked like Bleekemolen was going to make light of his lack of A1 experience to take victory on his first weekend in the Dutch car but he eventually had to settle for fourth place on home soil.

However, on the back of that performance, Bleekemolen is now focused on giving the Dutch fans reason to cheer when the new season gets underway.

"We are back at Zandvoort again with A1GP," he said. "I have got awesome memories of last year, it looked like Queens Day again - everyone wearing orange and going wild. I hope that we will have the same atmosphere along the track this time.

"On track we will have to try and do the thing we almost did last year, namely winning. We have been able to do a lot of work during the test and I am convinced that the team is ready for it. It will be an interesting weekend, with the new regulations which we will encounter for the first time."

Team principal Jan Lammers said he too was looking forward to the start of the new season and said he was confident of good performances from both Bleekemolen and rookie Arie Luyendyk Jr - who will be present this weekend despite the absence of a rookie session.

"We are anxiously and with confidence awaiting the new season," he said. "Naturally we want to deliver the first blow at Zandvoort, if we succeed in transferring our enthusiasm and confidence in a good result. We are able to win, so that is what we should do. Tough talk perhaps, but my trust is a result of the progress I see with Jeroen, he is truly on of the best drivers I have ever worked with and there were quite many. That's also why he is the ideal coach for Arie Jr.

"Our technical staff are also very good so all ingredients are there. When you look at the ticket sales, the public has again reacted with enthusiasm. So come and visit the orange party at Zandvoort and we won't let you down!"
