Following the decision to demote Germany in the sprint race, the nation once again felt the wrath of the stewards after being disqualified from the feature event too, while Brazil and Great Britain were also in trouble.

Michael Ammermuller made few friends with his move on Robert Wickens in the sprint race, a move that saw him dropped to 16th in the results having crossed the line third.

However, worse was to follow in the feature race after he was given a drive-through penalty during the race for hitting Oliver Jarvis, but when he collided with Erik Janis later on too, stewards decided to exclude them from the results completely.

Further ahead, Brazil and Great Britain were punished for their antics at the end of the pit-lane when they passed Switzerland and France respectively on the drag down to the first corner whilst the race was still under safety car conditions.

Both given two-second penalties, it dropped Brazil down from second to third behind France, while Great Britain fall from tenth to 12th behind USA and Mexico.
