Eager to gain whatever experience they can of the Eastern Creek circuit ahead of this weekend's fourth round of the A1 Grand Prix Championship, no less than half a dozen competing drivers got some vital testing in last weekend thanks to several Australian F3 teams.

Leading Kumho Tyres Aussie F3 teams Piccola Scuderia Corse, Team BRM and Swiss Racing team provided the equipment for Saturday's test, with drivers Kalil Bashir (Lebanon), Basil Shaaban (Lebanon), Alvaro Parente (Portugal), Salvador Duran (Mexico) Nelson Piquet Jr (Brazil) amongst those who tested at the challenging 3.9-km track.

Most drivers completed between 40-45 laps under overcast skies on Saturday at a track where virtually none of the 26 drivers set to compete in Sunday's double-header meeting had any prior knowledge.
