Despite another strong race weekend in Portugal last time out, Team Brazil head to Australia for the fourth round of the A1GP series having slipped to second behind France - who took another double victory to go into the championship lead.

Nicolas Lapierre and Alexandre Premat have won the last four races for Team France to leave Nelson Piquet and Brazil trailing by eight points heading to Eastern Creek, with the 20-year-old - who won both races of the opening round at Brands Hatch - eager to fight his way back to the top of the standings.

"I'm really looking forward to this weekend and it's our aim to get back to the top of the championship," he said. "It's my first time in Australia so we came out a few days early to get the chance to look around a bit. We have seen some of the sights in Sydney, which is a great city, and we also had the chance to drive a car on the circuit for a short time. This is good experience for me, because it means I don't lose that first five or ten minutes trying to find my way around the track because now I know a bit about how it is already.

"It's a little bit similar to Brands Hatch with the corners and I it's going to be great driving in the A1 car on it for the first time tomorrow. We should have been leading the championship coming to Australia. I've had problems, in Germany it was a pitstop and in Portugal I made a mistake at the start and let the car stall when I was on pole, so we are second now but hopefully we can change that and lead the championshp again after this weekend."
