Team France's Nicholas Lapierre topped the timing monitors in the second practice session of the A1 GP World Cup of Motorsport at Eastern Creek, but the second session's running was slower than the brief dry spell earlier in the day, meaning Nelson Piquet's new lap record for Team Brazil stands as quickest of the day.

The second hour long session of the Australian race weekend saw red flags out for Team China early in the session and then plenty of spins by numerous drivers out on track as they learnt the Sydney circuit.

Adam Kahn got the Team Pakistan entry very sideways and had a trip through the gravel, bringing out a second red flag period ten minutes after the start of the session, whilst Brazil, France, Japan, Malaysia and Mexico all had moments caught by the circuit television feeds.
