Former F1 world champions turned A1 Grand Prix team principals Alan Jones and Emerson Fittipaldi could face each other on track for the second time in as many weekends, if rumours emanating from Malaysia are to be believed.

Just a few days after this weekend's inaugural Grand Prix Masters event at Kyalami, Jones and Fittipaldi are being slated amongst the runners in a support race accompanying the Sepang round of the A1GP series, in which they oversee the Australian and Brazilian cars respectively. Although still to be confirmed, Racing for Malaysia claims that both champions will star in a possible Proton Satria race, running against local celebrities.

Jan Lammers, who oversees the Dutch A1GP squad, may also take part, while the speculation also has series founder Sheikh Maktoum and general manager Stephen Watson in the line-up, alongside Malaysian favourites including Group N world rally champion Karamjit Singh, racer and Channel V manager Phillipa Yoong and local Proton manager and racer Tengku Djan Ley.
