Team Pakistan driver Adam Khan said he hopes race day will be dry at Sepang after qualifying 14th in mixed weather conditions for the latest round of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport in Malaysia.

Khan has set the third quickest time during the final practice session to head into qualifying on a high but rain started to fall shortly after the start of the second 15 minute session and left the Pakistan car further down the order than Kahn was expecting to be.

However he said he was hopeful of fighting for a place in the top ten when racing gets underway tomorrow.

"The final practice session went really well this morning and I was happy with my performance," he said. "We were pretty quick in the first qualifying session this afternoon and everything was looking good. The conditions changed and sitting out the third session was the correct decision, likewise gaining some experience in the wet for the final session.

"I'm hoping that it will be dry tomorrow and even though I'm 14th on the grid for the sprint race, I'll be pushing for a top-ten finish."
