Already famed for its circus acrobats, China joined the list of A1 Grand Prix 'entertainers' at Malaysia's Sepang circuit on Sunday, colliding with the Portuguese entry and rolling several times, fortunately without injury to those involved.

The red-and-yellow machine was running on the fringes of the top 20 when it made contact with the rear of Alvaro Parente's Team Portugal entry at the first corner complex on lap two. Despite the multiple flip, Tengyi Jiang was able to extricate himself from the car, which landed back on its wheels, and was soon giving his version of events - in which he claimed not to have been at fault - back in the paddock.

Although the Chinese car was out for the afternoon, Parente and Portugal was able to continue after visiting the pits for repairs, eventually finishing a lap down in 18th place.
