After two more podium finishes for Neel Jani at the last round of the A1 Grand Prix series in Malaysia, Team Switzerland moves on to Dubai determined to claim its maiden victory in the sixth leg of the season this weekend.

Switzerland currently lies second in the championship, albeit some distance from runaway leaders France, after its strong Malaysian result, and Jani is looking forward to finally breaking his duck this weekend, even though he has not been to the Dubai Autodrome before.

"I am very excited to go to Dubai," the Scuderia Toro Rosso reserve admitted, "I don't know the track yet, but it looks interesting and challenging. Of course, I hope to be able to score a lot more points and, moreso, to take our first win of the season in the last race before the New Year."

As part of his weekend, Jani will be treated to another motorsport experience, one which is more synonymous with Dubai.

"I don't know the city, but the embassy and consulate of Switzerland are preparing a couple of exciting visits for me," he revealed, "I'll also get the chance to check out the F1 powerboat two-seater as the teams are racing next door!"

Team boss Max Welti believes that several factors could work in Switzerland's favour this weekend, not least the conditions.

"Neel had a fantastic time in Malaysia and, here in Dubai, the weather will be far more predictable," he said, "In Malaysia, there was always a risk of rain.

"It looks like Sheikh Maktoum has prepared a fantastic visit for us to his home round. Our results have been very strong and we'll have a good chance to take our first win this weekend."
