Currently in third place in the A1 Grand Prix championship standings, Team Brazil's driver Nelson Piquet Jr reckons the 'dirty' nature of the Dubai Autodrome circuit should make things slippery this weekend.

Piquet has raced the Brazilian entry in the championship at each of the five rounds already run and his initial impressions of the Dubai Autodrome circuit, which still very much has the air of a work in progress about certain aspects of it, is surrounded by sand, much of which ends up on the circuit.

"I had a look at the track this morning [Thursday] for the first time," explains Piquet. "It looks quite dirty at the moment, which could make it slippery in the practice sessions tomorrow.

"It is an interesting circuit with banking, which most circuits don't have, and there are some quick corners. There is also a big straight at the back. It's very hot here like Malaysia, so it's not going to be easy to save the tyres, we have to make sure the car has a good set-up to cope with that."
