Nicholas Lapierre has revealed the secret to Team France's success in the A1 Grand Prix of Motorsport.

Speaking after after practice Friday at Dubai, the Frenchman told Crash.net Radio that it comes down to one simple factor...

"We just work hard," he stated.

"We have a very good basic set up and every track we go to we really work on the car. I am very happy with the team, because even though we are leading the championship they are still pushing. We just stay focussed and still work 100 per cent to stay in front."

As for practice he had little to complain about after again heading the timesheets - in all four sessions.

"Everything is going really well," he continued. "We have been working on the car today and we did some very good changes. I am very pleased with the track - it is very nice, very interesting and the car is going very well.

"So we just have to wait tomorrow for qualifying because it is going to be hard qualifying on one lap as it is quite difficult to get the best from the tyre here. It is also difficult not to make a mistake on the lap because the lap is very long. We have 16 corners here - 16 difficult corners, so it is tough to put in a perfect lap. We just have to keep focused for tomorrow."

The races meanwhile, Lapierre believes could be 'interesting', especially as it is so dirty off line.

"The race is going to be very exciting because there is a very long straight where you can overtake," he continued. "Also as soon you get off the line, the track is so dirty and then you go off. So I think it is going to be very important not to make any mistakes and just stay on the line for the race.

"But if you have to overtake then it is going to be very interesting, because you have to get off the line. So we will see."
