The organisers of the A1 Grand Prix series have confirmed that the Indonesian round of the championship, which was scheduled to take place later this month, will now take place on February 10-12.

The event, which was to run from January 13-15, has been postponed as a mark of respect following the sudden death of the Dubai Emir, Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Tuesday January 3. His close family, including A1 Grand Prix founder, president and chairman, Sheikh Maktoum, are now in an official period of mourning.

The remaining five rounds in the 2005/2006 A1 Grand Prix World Cup of Motorsport will therefore run as follows:
