After finally grabbing his and his countries maiden A1 Grand Prix victory in the most recent round of the series in Dubai, Team Switzerland's Neel Jani believes he can add to his win tally in this weekends visit to the brand new Durban street circuit.

Jani's consistent run of strong finishes have moved Switzerland into a clear second place in the current A1 Grand Prix standings and the young driver feels that on a street circuit that is new to everyone, he will be in a position to shine.

"Finally we got the car as we wanted it in the last race," stated Jani, who won the opening sprint race in Dubai. "I'm really happy to be in this position and I'm ready to continue the fight in the second half of the season. I'm very excited to go to South Africa where the circuit will be completely new to everyone. I'm confident we can do well again and aim to take our second win of the season."

Much like at the world famous Monaco street circuit, the amount of space available around Durban's 3.2km temporary street circuit is limited by the downtown landscape, but still the organisers have fitted in temporary grandstand seating for 22,000. The circuit will run in a clockwise direction and the very tight first corner promises exciting starts to Sunday's races.

Max Welti, team principal, A1 Team Switzerland added: "I'm confident that we'll be able to continue our strong run of form in Durban. The team is in great shape and now we're focused on closing in on A1 Team France. We have a good chance to take our second win this weekend."
