Team Switzerland driver Neel Jani found the latest round of the A1 Grand Prix in Indonesia to be something of a struggle as the DAMS-run driver tried to counter too much oversteer at the Sentul race circuit.

The Swiss entry remains at second in the championship standings after the completion of the eight round of the championship slated to last for eleven rounds.

"I've struggled here throughout the weekend," explains Jani, who finished in fifth place in both the Sprint and Feature races. "I'm a bit disappointed we couldn't have done better in the sprint race. Just like in Malaysia I experienced a lot of oversteer and could not get rid of it."

The Sprint race had seen Jani running in fourth place before being displaced by Team Malaysia's Alex Yoong. In the Feature race Jani lost some time from an early Pitstop, but fought his way back to finish as he had done in the earlier race.

"During the feature race, the potential and the speed were still there, but we lost some valuable time with my mistake around the pit stop that ended up to be the equivalent of a drive through penalty," explains the Swiss. "After the problem in the pit stop I was determined to fight back. At least I scored in both races today and gathered 12 more valuable points."
