After a fourth place finish on his A1GP debut last time out in Indonesia, Christian Fittipaldi will be keen to impress on a circuit he already knows as Team Brazil head to Mexico this weekend for the latest round of the season.

Fittipaldi joined the team in place of Nelson Piquet Jr for the last round and will remain in the car for the rest of the season -with Monterrey a circuit where he achieved success in the past with a podium finish during his time in the Champ Car World Series

"I'm really looking forward to this weekend," he said. "I've raced twice at Monterrey before, the first time I didn't finish, but the second race in Champ Car I finished in third place.

"The track is a lot slower compared to Indonesia, there are some tight corners and not really any big long straights. There are about two good overtaking points and I remember from before the track was quite slick. I was so happy in Indonesia, I did everything I wanted to do in terms of getting miles in the car and then the result was a bonus. I'm feeling confident."

Team principal Emerson Fittipaldi said he was hopeful that past experience would be put to good use when his nephew takes to the track.

"Indonesia was very good, I was very happy for the team and Christian," he said. "He has a lot of experience at the Mexican track and he has had a very good result there. Now Christian is used to the A1 concept, the qualifying and the two races he will be much better prepared. The team knows him well by now and I think we will have a good weekend."
