Fans who were not quick enough to snap up tickets for the much anticipated curtain raiser for the second A1 Grand Prix Championship at Zandvoort, Holland, will get a second chance when another 3,000 tickets are put on sale on Wednesday.

Although the race is not until October 1st, ticket sales exceeded all expectations when 100,000 sold out within a few weeks, forcing organisers to release further places.

With fans arriving to see Dutch hero Jos Verstappen compete in the Team Netherlands car, organisers are confident the extra 3,000 tickets will be snapped up just as quickly, particularly as demo's across the country recently drew crowds running into the thousands, with the final promotional event at Rotterdam this weekend seeing a massive half a million people turn out to watch Jan Lammers pilot an A1 GP car alongside MF1 drivers Christijan Albers and Tiago Monteiro.
