While his past experience of the Brno circuit is nowhere near as great as at Zandvoort last weekend, Jeroen Bleekemolen will hope to impress in his second A1GP meeting at the wheel of the Team Netherlands car.

Bleekemolen was given a late call-up to the team on the eve of the season opener when the relationship with Jos Verstappen broke down and responded with a fine display on home soil - when he wooed the Dutch fans in the feature race en-route to fourth place, having led for much of the race on wet tyres on a drying circuit.

Bleekemolen has fond memories of the Brno circuit as the scene of his maiden podium in the FIA GT championship and he said he was hopeful of using his knowledge of the venue to garner some strong results.

"I have had some very fine moments here, but some were not that good," he said. "I scored my first podium in the FIA GT Championship here. It's an advantage when you already know the track here. We will certainly be doing our best to have a good result here. We also hope that there will be Dutch fans here as well to cheer us on."

Renger van der Zande will make his first appearance in the A1GP car during the Friday rookie session and he said he was looking forward to his maiden run.

"I have just had a seat made and gotten to know the team further," he said. "The atmosphere is absolutely perfect. This is a massive thing, A1GP, and well organised. Tomorrow I can finally drive my first meters and I think I will go absolutely wild when I drive out the pitlane. I am looking forward to this. The circuit is looking great. I have never been here, but it is wide and fast. It resembles the Sachenring, there it also goes up and down, but I am confident."
