A1 Team Germany will look to extend its early lead in the A1GP standings as the series heads to Brno for the second round of the year in the Czech Republic.

A stunning victory in the feature race at Zandvoort for debutant Nico H?lkenberg means Germany lead South Africa by two points as the nation versus nation championship prepares to compete at Brno for the first time.

Teenager H?lkenberg has competed at the challenging circuit before in his short career - carding third and fourth place finishes last season while racing in Formula BMW - and he admitted to being a fan.

"It is a genuinely flowing natural circuit," he said. "Because there are a lot of switchback combinations it's necessary to sacrifice the first corner to get a good line for the second.

"I still have a few things to learn for qualifying. I noticed just how important it is to go to the limit on every one of the four laps. A good starting position is very important in this series since there were virtually no overtaking manoeuvres in the sprint race. However, I believe that things will be different next weekend in Brno due to the circuit characteristics."

Team boss Willi Weber added that the goals for the weekend were clear.

"I'm very proud of the performance," he said. "There are currently very few fast drivers in Germany - Nico is one of these. After winning last weekend we would like to celebrate a top result again, even though we know just how difficult it is in this series with identical cars."
