With many teams not even bothering to set a time during the second qualifying segment at the second round of the A1 Grand Prix Championship at Brno it was Team New Zealand's Jonny Reid who once again led the list as qualifying reached its half way mark.

Reid was the quickest of just 15 drivers to set a time in segment two as the 3.36-mile Czech Republic circuit seemed to lose a little pace compared to the opening segment.

Reid's 1min 46.836secs was more than a full second slower than his session one time with the returning Graham Rahal the only other driver under 1min 47secs in the surprising Team Lebanon entry.

Nicolas Lapierre was third fastest for defending champions France with the rapid Frankie Chen fourth for China and Italy's Pier Guidi Alessandro fifth.

Home nation driver Tomas Enge, Team Great Britain's Robbie Kerr and current A1 series leaders Germany were among the eight nations not to set a time.
