Nicholas Lapierre took his second race victory of the day in Australia for the A1 Grand Prix of Nations Feature race, the victory coming after a short blast to the chequered flag following a lengthy safety car period after a massive off from Team Japan's Hayanari Shimoda.

Shimoda was shaken but pronounced okay after being stretchered away from his destroyed car in a race where ten cars from the twenty-four starters didn't finish.

For Lapierre it was another emphatic victory, whilst second place was taken by Team GBR's Robbie Kerr, the Brit clearly not having the pace of the French car and continuing to lose out significantly on each and every restart following safety car periods.

Third was taken by Neel Jani for Team Switzerland, the Swiss driver recovering from an early poor start with his team making a great call on pitting just before the first safety car came out to vault Jani up the order. The Swiss driver did not have it easy however, as Jos Verstappen and Team Netherland had made the same call and Verstappen was demonstrating his on track fiestiness all the way to the chequered flag just behind the Swiss car.

Malaysia and Alex Yoong took fifth, Australia and Will Davison took sixth, Portugal and Alvaro Parente took seventh, recovering from a penalty for making a jump start, Ireland took eighth on track with Michael Devaney recovering from an incident on the first lap, New Zealand and Jonny Reid took ninth whilst Nelson Piquet Jr and Team Brazil had a drive through penalty and took tenth on track, whilst Bryan Herta was elevated to tenth place following Ireland's penalty.
