Alex Job Racing head to the streets of Houston this Friday for the second round of the American Le Mans Series looking to make up for a disappointing result at the season opener at Sebring.

The team will field their #23 Porsche 911 RSR for Klaus Graf and Mike Rockenfeller in the GT2 class as the ALMS circus stretches its legs on a street circuit for the first time in three years.

"I actually do like street races a lot," admitted Graf. "Firstly because I have done them a lot in the past, especially last year when I won the Trans-Am Championship. Secondly because of the atmosphere in the city circuits is a little more upbeat than our regular stops.

"The fans are close to the action and most of the street races draw a great crowd," added Graf. "This will be a new track so will I try to get as much information about the new layout before I come to track."

Despite his enjoyment of street circuits, Graf will be doing all he can to learn the tight Houston track and is setting his sights on the sharp end of the results come Friday's race in Texas.

"I will arrive a day early, so there is enough time to walk the track and have a close look at everything," said Graf, "we need to get a good result. I would say a podium finish is our minimum goal. It's important to score points in every race to be able to fight for the championship at the end of the season and that's definitely our goal."

Graf's team mate meanwhile is hoping to put the lackluster result of 6th at Sebring firmly in the past with a good result, and affirms Graf's desire to be amongst the champagne on Friday evening.

"I have looked at the track map and it is a typical street course with straights leading to 90-degree turns," said Rockenfeller, "I am told the track is fairly smooth and wide. We had a difficult first race at Sebring and we are a little behind in the points. We need to get back on track for the championship and have a strong finish at Houston to give us some momentum to take on the rest of the schedule. The track in Texas will be new to everyone so we will get up to speed quickly and be ready for a fight Friday night."
