Jordan Racing Ltd has completed a takeover of Chevron Racing Cars Ltd and will now take on the role of manufacturing both the Chevron GR8 and GR8 GT3.

The company will fulfill all existing and future orders of the GR8 and GR8 GT3, along with continuing development of the GT3 specification car.

Jordan Racing has been formed by successful businessman and GT Cup racer David Witt, and will be based out of a new and recently completed workshop facility in Crewe, Cheshire.

"I'm delighted to announce that we will now be running the Chevron GR8 and GR8 GT3 out of the new Jordan Racing facility," Witt said. "We have some exciting developments in the pipeline for both cars, and we are retaining the key members of the original Chevron team who have worked so hard on the evolution of the car to date."

The team concluded its British GT Championship campaign at Donington Park with Witt and Ray Grimes finishing second in the GTC class at the wheel of their GR8.

However, the GR8 GT3 in the hands of Jordan Witt and former touring car racer Anthony Reid was forced to retire early on, with the younger Witt now switching his focus to the final event on the GT Cup calendar.

"As a team, we are looking forward to all of the exciting opportunities on the horizon at Jordan Racing," he said. "We still have the final round of the GT Cup Championship to come this season, which will enable us to complete the next step of our development programme, before heading into testing over the winter."
