Swan Honda's preparations for the 2010 British Superbike Championship received a boost on the final day of pre-season testing at Guadix as Stuart Easton and James Ellison locked out the top two positions.

With the three day test reduced to just two following adverse weather conditions on Tuesday, HM Plant Honda made the decision to skip the final day of action in order to continue its preparations from home.

It meant Easton was able to dip below Josh Brookes' best marker of 1min 13.6s by two tenths of a second as the Swan Honda team focused on longer stints.

Backed up by team-mate James Ellison in second position, just a tenth behind, the Honda riders were comfortably quicker than third place man Tommy Hill on the Worx Crescent Suzuki.

Yukio Kagayama stepped up to fourth position on the second GSX-R1000, ahead of the Ridersmotorcycles.com Ducati pairing Michael Rutter and Martin Jessopp, who circulated with similar lap times to be separated by just a tenth at the test's conclusion.

Meanwhile, Simon Andrews and Gary Mason continued to work on chassis and electronic development as they brought up the rear on their MSS Colchester Kawasakis.
