Team Kawasaki return to Brands Hatch for round ten of the British Superbike Championship this weekend, confident of rediscovering the form that netted them two podium finishes during their last outing at the World famous Kent circuit.

Michael Rutter, now fully recovered from his high-speed practice crash at Cadwell Park, took a hard fought second place last time out at Brands Hatch and, after a difficult weekend in Lincolnshire, the former Grand Prix star is looking forward to returning to the scene of his first rostrum placing on the factory Kawasaki ZX-7RR.

"After a disappointing, and fairly painful, time at Cadwell, I'm looking forward to getting my championship campaign back on track at Brands Hatch this weekend," said Rutter, a former British Superbike race winner on the 1.23-mile Indy circuit. "Short it may be, but the Brands Hatch Indy circuit is also fast and flowing - which suits both the characteristics of the factory Kawasaki and my riding style - and it's one of the tracks at which I've been strong at in the past."

"The whole team have worked flat out to get the bikes working exactly the way I want them and I'm confident that I can repay their efforts by giving the series leaders a run for their money this weekend," continued the 28-year-old West Midlander, one of the most experienced and successful riders on the British Superbike grid. "There are only four rounds of the series left, which means I'm going to have to pull my finger out if I'm to improve on fifth place in the championship. I've already finished on the podium at Brands once this season and I'll definitely be looking to be up there again this weekend."

Like Rutter, Team Manager Simon Buckmaster is also confident of a good showing by Team Kawasaki at Brands Hatch this weekend.

"We're returning to Brands for the second time this season and, after scoring two podium finishes on our last visit, we know the factory Kawasaki will be competitive this weekend," declared former Grand Prix and World Endurance rider, Buckmaster. "Michael looked particularly strong at Brands Hatch back in June and I'm confident that he'll be able to recapture that form, and make his return to the podium, this time around."
