Ian Hutchinson says he is looking forward to getting out on track again at the upcoming MCE British Superbike Championship test in Spain as he begins his preparations for his return to the series.

Hutchinson embarks on a full return to racing action in 2014 after a lengthy period out through injury, the 34-year-old signing up to race the Isle of Man TT - where he was a five-time winner in 2010 - with Milwaukee Yamaha and to campaign an FFX Yamaha in the BSB championship.

Having not ridden a bike since his remarkable success at the Macau Grand Prix in November, Hutchinson is eager to get back on track to get some useful competitive mileage under his belt.

"I am looking forward to the track time, because I obviously haven't ridden since Macau and I miss it. The time in Spain will give us a great opportunity to work together for the first time this season and give us a real idea of where we are and what we need to achieve before the first round at Brands Hatch.

"Personally, I am feeling a lot stronger than I did when I won at Macau so I can't wait to get back into it. I visited the workshop last week and everything is looking good; we are ready to go!"
