Karl Harris had a fantastic weekend at Mallory Park. The 21 year old, currently on loan to the Crescent Suzuki Team by GR Motosport, dominated the British Supersport event to further increase his points leads over John McGuinness.

Throughout practice and qualifying Harris, his team and the Suzuki GSXR600 were in top form, with the final qualifying session producing a thrilling dog fight with McGuinness for pole - before the session was stopped 5 minutes from the end because of a power failure to the race track.

After a 30 minute break the session was restarted and Harris soon settled and duly rattled off a succession of blistering laps to secure pole.

The Suzuki star then stamped his authority on the British Supersports Championship by taking his fourth win of the season. With his 22nd birthday in just over a month's time he showed his growing maturity by storming off the line - and dominating to the chequered flag, almost 6 seconds in front of Honda mounted McGuinness and Kirk McCarthy, extending his title lead to 12-points with two races left.

"Everything was perfect in that race," smiled Karl. "From the start I knew I had got it under control. Now I'm looking forward to Rockingham. I tested there a couple of weeks ago and liked the place, it will be a good track for me."
