British Motorsport Promoters (BMP) is delighted to announce that Micron will be continuing, for a second year, their support of the Junior Superstock Championship for the 2002 season.

The Derbyshire company will again be the official silencer supplier to the series, also providing a full technical support service at each of the 13 rounds.

The multi-make series is designed to provide strong competition for up-and-coming riders aged between 16-23 years within a professional environment where they can develop their careers.

Micron will supply a silencer pack to each competitor at a discounted price at the start of the season. Micron will supply Oval Titanium Beta Race Silencers. Throughout the season they will provide full technical back up which will include servicing, silencer replacement and re-sleeving.

"We are delighted to be involved again, for a second year. The series as a whole proved to be a great success with excellent entertainment value for the spectators. As a company we built up some very good relationships with some young promising riders, which we look forward to continuing," said John Charlesworth, the Micron Product Manager. "By continuing to support this breeding ground for new talent we are again illustrating our backing for all levels of the sport."

Micron will again be adding spice to qualifying by putting up a pole position award at every round, with the pole-sitter being able to choose either a cash award of ?100 or to take a ?150 voucher for Micron products.

"Having Micron confirm that they will be on board with us for a second term, bringing their support, both in terms of product and service, underlines the importance and confidence that they have in this Championship," said Jos Foulston, the British Superbike series director, adding, "our continuing relationship with Micron, as an official supplier to all competitors in the series, provides a level playing field, with rider ability a key to success."

The Junior Superstock Championship will feature at all 2002 British Superbike Championship events, commencing at Silverstone on Easter Monday 1 April.
