The British superbike rumour mill suggests that new champion John Reynolds could be about to ditch the Red Bull Ducati team in favour of a move to Suzuki.

According to motorcyclenews.com, the Nottingham rider should put pen to paper for the Crescent Suzuki team this week, linking up with rising star Karl Harris in a revamped operation for 2002. The move would mark a return to Suzuki for Reynolds, who pipped Steve Hislop to the 2001 crown, after he rode for the factory team in the WSBK some five years ago.

The loss of Reynolds would be the second big blow for the Reve Red Bull squad this week, following team manager Nigel Bosworth's defection to the new Sauber WSBK operation.
