British Superbike champion John Reynolds will make his first public appearance in the colours of the Crescent Suzuki team when he attends this weekend's Autosport International exhibition in Birmingham, England.

Reynolds clinched the 2001 title with the Reve Red Bull Ducati team after season-long rival Steve Hislop was hospitalised after crashing out in the penultimate round, but then eschewed the chance to move up to the world championship by making an unexpected switch to Suzuki for 2002.

Reynolds brings the number one plate to the Crescent operation and, with new rule changes allowing bikes up to 1000cc to compete in the British Superbike series next year, will look to repeat his championship victory in 2002.

The Nottingham rider has already tested with his new employer, and dubbed the GSX-R1000 he will ride this year as ' an absolute weapon' but has yet to make a public appearance with either bike or team.

Consequently, BSB fans will be keen to catch a glimpse of Reynolds, and British Supersport champion Karl Harris, as they make their debut at the Bikesport section of the Autosport show.
