The Shell Advance supported Ducati Monster S4 Challenge commences this weekend at Cheshire's Oulton Park.

This major support class to the British Superbike Championship promises plenty of excitement with a grid of identically prepared 916 engined Monster S4's battling it out.

The Challenge will run over six rounds and allows participants to simply turn up and race thanks to the turnkey format of the Championship.

All of the Pirelli shod machines are prepared on behalf of Ducati by GSE Racing, the organisation behind the HM Plant Ducati World Superbike Team.

Piero Guidi, Managing Director of Ducati UK commented: "We previewed the series to race fans at the recent Brands Hatch BSB round, and the spectacle was amazing. I can't wait to see the Challenge commence as I truly believe this will be one of the most exciting series in the UK today."

In addition to prize money being available to the top three finishers at each round, the overall series winner will get a unique opportunity to participate in a test involving the HM Plant Ducati World Superbike team early in 2003.

The Ducati Monster S4 challenge is supported by Shell Advance, Pirelli Tyres, and Regina Chains.
