JG Speedfit Kawasaki's James Ellison topped the lap charts on the penultimate day at Spanish track Guadix in pre-season testing, ahead of Halsall Suzuki rider Christian Iddon and Be Wiser Kawasaki's Danny Buchan.

Three MCE British Superbike teams all took to the Guadix circuit which was bathed in glorious sunshine for testing ahead of the 2015 season. Ellison topped the day with a 1m 13.3s lap as he continued to test a number of new parts on his Kawasaki ZX-10R machine.

Iddon finished the day second with a 1m 13.5s lap with Buchan three-tenths of a second back in third with a 1m 13.8s lap.

Ellison's team-mate James Westmoreland finished fifth with a 1m 14.2s but BSB veteran Chris Walker nipped ahead of him by one-tenth with a 1m 41.1s. Josh Waters for Halsall Suzuki finished sixth with his quickest lap of 1m 14.5s.

The former World Superbike and MotoGP rider hailed the test as a great success coming of the team's initial pre-season test in Cartagena.

"It's a really good test here and we have worked hard again today through a variety of parts, whilst keeping the geometry settings the same as we had in Cartagena, as that seems the best base," Ellison said.

"We have run through a variety of different parts and settings, including brakes and linkages today and every time we go out we have seen an improvement. All in all we are a happy camp ready for the final day."

The three BSB teams will complete their pre-season test schedules on Friday (12th March) before returning to the UK ahead of the official test day at Donington Park on the 26th March.
