Christian Iddon's fight in the 2015 BSB season with Bennetts Suzuki was one with significant progress despite narrowly missing out on the podium on multiple occasions.

Iddon's impressive start to the year - taking seventh and fifth at the season opener - proved to be somewhat of a false start as the older Suzuki GSX-R1000 failed to match the pace of the new Yamaha and well as existing the Kawasaki and BMW rivals.

The Stockport-based rider struggled to consistently crack the top ten on a regular basis after season opener but after a disastrous round at Thruxton, where he suffered a nasty crash in race one and could only recover to a lowly 20th in race two, Iddon enjoyed a resurgence over the final third of the year.

His continued toiling and effort produced a strong end to his campaign by finishing inside the top ten in all of the last nine races with a positive correlation in results from Oulton Park up to Brands Hatch in October.

A satisfying trio of results at the season finale - fourth, eighth and fifth - assured Iddon ended 2015 in his strongest form and caught the eye of BSB front runners Tyco BMW, where he will swap places with Tommy Bridewell next season.

About the vote:
Rather than repeat the Riders' British Championship standings, the BSB Rider of the Year poll asks viewers to take into account factors such as machinery, performance relative to a team-mate, riding style, experience, injuries, progress and personality just as much as race results and scoring each of the top twenty from this year's BSB standings with a mark out of ten.
