MSS Kawasaki will compete in the Supersport and Performance Bikes Superstock championships at Oulton Park this weekend, just three days after the conclusion of the previous round at Cadwell Park.

The team's Supersport rider Pete Jennings has plans to use the 2.36 miles of challenging Cheshire circuit to turn his hopes for third place in the end of season standings into reality.

His Superstock team-mate Steve Allan simply needs a change of luck for his partial resurgence to be given full form with a series of good results on which to end the season.

Pete Jennings is more than ready for the coming battle: "I wanted to get to Oulton Park as soon as the race was over at Cadwell," he says. "I realise that everybody will be going faster this time, but I finished third in round four and I want to do at least as well this time. I've got full confidence, a brilliant bike and a new gearbox. All I need now is for it to be either wet or dry. I don't mind which, just as long as it's one or the other. Everything is in place for this weekend and I'm going to make the most of it."

Steve Allan is confident that he can master the Oulton Park circuit aboard his MSS Performance-prepared Kawasaki ZX-9R. After an encouraging start, his last race at the circuit (round four of the championship in May) came to a premature end when he crashed at Island Bend.

"I just could not get the bike set-up the last time that we were at Oulton," admits Allan. "I was out of control all the way around, but the circuit is one of my stronger ones and I was going pretty well considering how 'off' the bike felt, right up until the crash. We've done a lot of work since then and got the MSS Kawasaki ZX-9R much more how I like it, so as long as I qualify fairly high up and get away reasonably well, I know that I can really run at Oulton Park."
