Both Leon Camier and Daniel Coutts scored season-best finishes at Oulton Park this weekend. The two Padgett's riders matched lap times as they came home second and fifth respectively.

Starting from second spot on the grid Camier spent the first two laps dicing with Christian Elkin and Eugene Laverty before finally breaking away and commencing a race long chase of pole-setter Chris Martin.

Unfortunately Martin had made the most of his opportunity and despite consistently lapping around the 1 minute 42 seconds mark Camier was unable to make up the gap.

"With a slightly better start I would have been able to stay with Chris and then we would have had a real race on our hands," said the Ashford 16 year-old, "the bike was perfect and I'm more convinced than ever that we can pick up a win in the next two rounds. Mallory is always close racing, so that's definitely one to watch."

Teammate Daniel Coutts was also upbeat about the remaining races. Under the guidance of Clive Padgett the Horsham schoolboy has been steadily improving all season and is now staking his claim for a top three finish.

"I can't believe the progress we've made this year," said Coutts, "to be matching Leon's times is testament to the help and equipment that Padgett's have given me. I've got my sights set firmly on a podium finish in the last two rounds and finishing the season in the top ten of the championship is definitely on the cards."

Like Camier, Coutts made a solid start and then spent the race chasing down the riders in front; the pace of the leaders being so hot that Coutts finished over 12 seconds clear of the following pack.

Team Manager Clive Padgett was delighted with the team's performance, "Leon and Daniel have worked really hard this weekend and it's paid off for them. They've proved that they're two of the biggest talents in UK racing. Now all we need is a Padgett's 1-2 to finish off the season!"
