The penultimate round of the British Supersport and Superstock championships takes place at Mallory Park this weekend, with MSS Kawasaki rider's Steve Allan and Pete Jennings set to challenge for a podium positions, while World Supersport ace Rob Frost will make a guest appearance in the Supersport competition.

"I've always admired Rob as a rider," explained Team Principal Nick Morgan. "He's not afraid to get stuck in and has a reputation for hard riding that should make a few people sit up and take notice. We tested at Mallory earlier this week and he put in some very impressive times straight away.

"The MSS Kawasaki ZX-6R is more than capable of running at the front as Pete [Jennings] showed at the start of the season and it will be interesting to see what it can do in the hands of a rider as experienced as Rob," added Morgan.

Jennings is unlikely to be phased by the guest rider and believes that they will work well as a team.

"It'll be good to have Frosty out there with me," confirmed Jennings. "We'll be able to swap information and help each other out with set-up, plus I'm pretty sure that between us we can really ruffle some feathers in the race. Mallory's a very short circuit - you just keep going round and round, getting dizzy. That said, it does take a lot of concentration because you have to be absolutely inch-perfect to put in a good lap or it's very easy to drop a tenth of a second here and there. Having two MSS Kawasakis battling away will definitely make it more interesting."

Steve Allan meanwhile is confident that this round will prove to be a successful one for both himself and the MSS Kawasaki ZX-9R.

"I'm looking forward to this weekend and I'm really confident that I can come away with a decent haul of points," said Allan. "It's always very close in qualifying because Mallory is such a short circuit, but I have to qualify well if I want to get a good result in the race because isn't the easiest track to overtake on.

"On the other hand, the MSS ZX-9R is well suited to Mallory's subtly challenging layout and I did take sixth place there in the Race of the Year at the start of the season without any problems. With this in mind, I'm hopeful that I can make this my best event of the year so far," concluded Allan.
