Paul Bird Motorsport, will announce who will replace reigning British Superbike champion Steve Hislop next week, on Tuesday October 29th.

Team owner Paul Bird revealed last week that the outift would not be renewing the contract of Hislop, much to the surprise of Hizzy's fans.

Since then it is believed that Renegade Ducati's Shane Byrne will sign for the team, although Stuart Easton is also believed to be in with a chance. Easton won the 2002 British Supersport title.

Speaking last week Bird noted: "We have a long term commitment to Ducati and our sponsors needed a younger profile within the team conducive with their marketing strategy and we are in negotiation with three young riders, all of whom fit the bill perfectly."

The press conference will take place at the team's workshops in Lancs. at 13.00 hours.

The outfit, which was known as MonsterMob during 2002 will also reveal their sponsors and other plans for next year. It is expected that MonsterMob will remain as the principal backer.

More to follow next week following the official announcement...
