Leon Haslam has been confirmed as part of the factory Kawasaki team rider line-up for the 2017 Suzuka 8 Hour race in July alongside Kazuma Watanabe and a third rider who is yet to be confirmed.

Haslam is a two-time winner at the prestigious endurance race having won at Suzuka in 2013 and 2014 with MuSASHi RT Honda squad and returned last year as part of the factory Kawasaki team to secure second place.

As a factory-contracted rider, Haslam has been picked again by the Japanese manufacturer for Suzuka and is relishing the opportunity to go one step further up the rostrum in 2017 and clinch a third victory.

"I'm extremely pleased to announce that I'll be competing for Team Green Kawasaki at the 2017 Suzuki 8 Hour race again," Haslam said. "Last year was an unbelievable experience and working with the Team Green squad to secure a second place finish was awesome.

"In 2017, I'm super excited to take on the challenge again and try to go one better and get on the top step of the podium."

The Suzuka 8 Hour is set to celebrate its 40th anniversary of running this year with the race held at the iconic Japanese circuit on the 28-30 July.
