D&B Ducati's Dean Ellison heads to Thruxton, one of Britain's fastest and fearsome tracks, this Easter Weekend chasing 'some decent points'.

Putting his Snetterton disappointment behind him, Ellison is keen to get to grips with Thruxton's 170mph sweeping corners, tight bends and long straights that make for such close racing.

"I was disappointed not to have scored any points at Snetterton and I'm confidant things will pan out better this weekend," he said. "Thruxton is a tough track, both physically and mentally. I will really need to concentrate hard and be completely focussed throughout the weekend. I have to up the ante and earn some decent points.

"We've certainly been thrown in at the deep end this year with the three fastest tracks being the first three races," added Ellsion. "Mechanical failures have not helped the situation either. It's been a big demand to try and get the bikes up to top speed in such a short space of time although I am sure we'll be on the pace it this weekend."

Free practice takes place today (Friday) with qualifying and Superpole tomorrow and the two races on Sunday.
