Clinging onto the back of Michael Rutter as he blasts his factory Ducati 998 around the twists and turns of the Northwest 200 course might not be everyone's idea of fun, but that's the prize up for grabs in the Cool FM 'Pillion in a Million' competition.

Held annually on the North Antrim coast, and regularly attracting a crowd in excess of 100,000 people, the Northwest 200 is the biggest sporting event on the Northern Ireland calendar.

The 7.5-mile public roads circuit, which takes in the towns of Coleraine, Portstewart and Portrush, is one of the fastest circuits anywhere in the world, with the front-runners in the Superbike race regularly reaching speeds of 190mph as they head back towards the coast from the outskirts of Coleraine.

To celebrate their second visit to the Northwest 200, Renegade Ducati have teamed up with Cool FM, Northern Ireland's number one hit music radio station, to offer a competition prize that will make this year's event a day to remember for one lucky race fan. The winner of the Cool FM 'Pillion in a Million' competition will attend the Northwest 200 on Saturday 10th May as a VIP guest of Team Renegade Ducati. On arrival at the circuit they will be presented with a team goodie bag before being introduced to their chauffeur for the day, Michael Rutter.

With the pleasantries out of the way, the winner will be kitted out in an Alpinestars leather suit and a Shoei helmet, before joining Michael Rutter on a specially converted factory Ducati 998 Testastretta. At 11:20 precisely, and in front of more than 100,000 spectators, Renegade Ducati's newest team member will set off for the ride - or possibly fright - of their life!

"It will be a proper lap, we won't be hanging about," declared Rutter. "During the race we hit speeds of 190mph on some parts of the circuit, and I expect the bike can still get quite close to that two-up. Whoever wins might want to think about packing a spare set of underwear, just to be on the safe side!"

Just under five minutes and 7.5 miles later, the lucky winner will be returned to the paddock to enjoy the afternoon's racing from the comfort of the Renegade Ducati hospitality area. Before leaving, he or she will also be presented with a photograph of their flying lap signed by the world's fastest chauffeur, Michael Rutter.

Entry details will be broadcast from Monday to Thursday this week on 94.7 Cool FM. The competition closes at 6.00pm on Thursday 8th May.
