New British Superbike Champion Shane Byrne will start tomorrow's penultimate round of the series at Brands Hatch from the front row after setting third fastest time in a dramatic Dunlop Super 12 today.

The 26 year old MonsterMob Ducati rider from the Isle of Sheppey set a time of 46.087s, less than a tenth of a second off pole setter Michael Rutter's time as he guns for his fourth victory of the season at his local circuit.

"I struggled a bit but I'm happy enough with the front row. It's important to get a good start round here otherwise its hard work but I'm hoping to continue where I left off after winning the two World Superbike races here."

Meanwhile MonsterMob Ducati Supersport rider Stuart Easton posted fourth position after the two qualifying sessions aboard the 748 MonsterMob Ducati.

The 20 year old from Hawick is hoping to consolidate second place in the series at the Kent circuit whereby he needs just seven points to finish runner up to new Champion Karl Harris.

"Fourth isn't good enough and I'm aiming to put things right with a win tomorrow," said Easton.
